From Creative Design
To Product Development

With a passion for graphic design and creative illustration, Taylor began his career as a retail merchandising display and packaging designer. He quickly rose to become a Sr. Designer and Art Director, where he directed national white-label branding campaigns for companies like Costco, Home Depot, and Lowes.

After a decade of design leadership, Taylor took time out of his career to become a full-time caretaker for his mother with Multiple Sclerosis. However, his passion for continuous improvement led him to use this time to return to academics and expand his creative process.

Taylor was introduced to UX design during his undergraduate and graduate program at the University of Washington. Earning a B.A. in Technology & Innovation Management, he learned to inspire innovative concepts through user research and structured collaboration. He also developed a passion for product development and an ambition for social-purpose business models.

He continued his passion for product design in grad school obtaining a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship at the UW Fosters School of Business. With social impact in mind, he explored how for-profit businesses could support underserved communities. In 2019, he founded his own business. Inspired by his mother, Access Candy produced designer wheelchair accessories that allowed trendy wheelchair users to express themselves through innovative adaptive fashion.

Conducting substantial market research in the disabled community, Taylor found new processes for creative inspiration, discovering opportunities, and bringing visions to life through business development.

However, after his mother passed away, he put Access Candy aside. Since then, he has thrived in product marketing leadership roles, directing product strategy for brands of all shapes and sizes.
